Cyprus Maritime Administration, vide Circular No. 21/2020, dated 28 May 2021, has informed that as the Coronavirus outbreak still constitutes a public health emergency that prevents the normal operation of recognized training schools and assessment centres, Certificates of Competency, Certificates of Proficiency and documentary evidences issued by the Republic of Cyprus with expiration date between 01/03/2020 and 29/09/2021 is to be considered valid until 30/09/2021.
2. A copy of Circular no. 21/2021 must be placed on board vessels flying the Cyprus flag.
3. Ship owners/ operators and masters of Cyprus flagged ships are advised to be guided by above.
