Develop knowledge and skills in marine electro - technology, focusing on electrical systems and high-voltage equipment handling.
This course aims to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in electro-technical work, with a specific focus on handling high-voltage equipment. Through comprehensive safety procedures, participants will learn about testing equipment, compliance with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), and identifying particular hazards associated with high-voltage systems. The course covers critical topics such as electrical arc flash and blast, minimum safe distances, special lockout/tagout procedures, testing of high-voltage equipment, and the necessary permits and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for high-voltage work. Additionally, recent accidents and incidents are reviewed to provide valuable insights into real-world scenarios and lessons learned.
