Subject: DGS Order No. 10 of 2020 Reg Extension of the validity of Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) in view of COVID-19 outbreak

  1. In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Indian Administration vide attached DGS Order No. 10 of 2020 has advised that the validity of Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) , expiry date of which is falling during 1st February 2020 to 1st October 2020 (both dates inclusive) is extended for a period of 6 (six) months.

  2. There would be no requirement for any endorsement in the respective CDCs for the above mentioned relaxation. However, once the above situation becomes normal, seafarers are required to apply for revalidation of such CDCs as per prevailing procedure and such CDCs will be revalidated for further period by the Shipping Masters from the date of expiry printed in the CDCs.

  3. Ship owners/ operators and masters of Indian flagged ships are advised to be guided by above.
